• Triage incoming patients based on the severity of condition, following established
protocols.
• Perform rapid assessments and initiate emergency treatment plans as needed.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency interventions (e.g., CPR, defibrillation).
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and interpret test results in coordination with the
healthcare team.
• Monitor and document patient status, responses to interventions, and any changes in
condition.
• Prepare patients for transport to surgery, intensive care, or other hospital departments.
• Provide emotional support and information to patients and families in high-stress
situations.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, social workers, and other nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment in accordance with hospital policies
and infection control standards.
• Respond to hospital codes and emergency situations according to policy.
• Comply with legal requirements, hospital policies, and ethical standards in all care
provided.
