• Serve as the highest-ranking administrator on-site during non-business hours.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all operational, staffing, patient care, and
facility issues during the assigned shift.
• Ensure patient safety and service quality across all units.
• Collaborate with clinical and support staff to resolve conflicts or urgent concerns.
• Support nursing supervisors and department leads in patient flow management,
including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures (e.g., codes, evacuations, critical
incidents).
• Document all significant events, incidents, and decisions made during the shift in a
MOD report/log.
• Communicate critical issues to senior leadership or department heads when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Provide support and guidance to patients and families as needed, addressing
complaints or concerns.
• Ensure that environmental issues (e.g., safety hazards, facility maintenance) are
reported and escalated appropriately.
